A sign of this honest engagement is. amongst others the reward of the Austrian Ecolabel for Tourism and the European Ecolabel.
Following is a short overview of our engagement:
- We draw our electricity solely from renewable resources
- All facades have a full thermal insulation (except for the beautifully structured turn-of-the-century facade of the main building where such insulation is, regrettably, not possible)
- Largest solar installation of all Viennese hotels (156m²) for the heating of our water
- A highly efficient and low-emission gas heating unit (Efficiency 106%)
- 3-pane vinyl windows with particularly good insulation properties
- Modern air conditioning systems with quiet, low-pollution outdoor units
- The hotel rooms, corridors and other public areas are equipped – wherever possible – with energy-saving lamps or LEDs
- When possible we order an Eco-Taxi (hybrid -cars) for our guests
- We prefer organic and regional products and we support sustainable and responsible producers
- Guests, arriving by public transport receive a glass of our “Hausmarmelade” (Wilhelmshof jam) as present
